Cabra Montés Trail, Fell and Mountain Running

Hell’s Ridge

Hell’s Ridge Planned Route

Can’t wait for tomorrow’s trip up into the mountains behind Infiesto!

Rob and I are planning on running up to the Sierra del Infierno (Hell’s Ridge) which despite it’s ominous name looks like a great run.

The Route

The route starts at a car park in a spot used by locals for weekend summer barbecues, next to the river, in the middle of a beautiful ancient chestnut forest. From there there’s a forest track that climbs up to 600m to the start of the climb up to the mountains proper.

I’m still a little unsure of the exact route, as Spanish maps leave a lot to be desired, especially if you’re used to the UK’s excellent OS maps.

It’s also set to snow at 800m+ and we’re climbing up to about 1500m,so we should see a bit of snow. Should be fun!

Updates of the route and photos, along with what we actually do, early tomorrow evening.
